- You’re Not Managing a Team of Software Engineers, You’re Managing a Team of Writers - A good article that draws the comparison of managing a team of coders to being more akin to managing a team of writers. It raises some thoughtful points on balancing the tension of allowing the time for creative ideas to develop versus “buckling down” and getting work done.
- How to Write Usefully - One of the best things I’ve read about writing, by Paul Graham. He lays out a formula for a good essay: importance + novelty + correctness + strength, and argues that while you should write a lot, very little should pass through the filter of publication.
- How to Take Smart Notes | Zettelkasten Method in Roam Research - YouTube - This is a short video that does a great job of explaining the Zettelkasten note taking method in the context of the Roam software. I use an emulated form of Roam in my IDE, and it’s proving to be very helpful.
